How long past PC versions took
Rockstar has released its big open-world games on console first and on PC later. This is history only and says nothing official about GTA 6.
| Game | Console | PC | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto IV | April 29, 2008 | December 2, 2008 | about 7 months |
| Grand Theft Auto V | September 17, 2013 | April 14, 2015 | about 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 26, 2018 | November 5, 2019 | about 12 months |
Dates are first console and first PC release (North America for GTA IV on PC).
Be careful with spec lists
Pages that list GTA 6 minimum or recommended PC specs are estimates. With no PC version announced there is nothing to measure against yet. We will add official requirements here once Rockstar publishes them.
FAQ
- Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
- Rockstar has not announced a PC version. The official launch on Thursday, November 19, 2026 covers PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
- When will GTA 6 come out on PC?
- There is no date. Rockstar's last three big open-world games reached PC 7 to 19 months after their console launch, but that is history, not an announcement.
- What are the GTA 6 PC system requirements?
- None have been published. Any spec list or 'can I run it' checker right now is a guess, because Rockstar has not confirmed a PC version exists.
